Stanley Black & Decker joins Manufacture 2030!

We are thrilled to announce that Stanley Black & Decker, the world’s number 1 manufacturer of industrial tools, household hardware and security products has joined Manufacture 2030.

Stanley Black & Decker’s commitment to quality, safety and sustainability aligns perfectly with our Mission to accelerate the transition to sustainable manufacturing – and consequently a sustainable future for our planet. Their bold goals for change include:

-       going carbon positive by 2030;

-       using water more sustainably, and

-       working towards sending zero waste to landfill.

As a result, their operations will have a positive impact on the environment.

At the heart of this new partnership is the Fortune 500 company’s launch of our unique Bee tool across 15 of their 57 global manufacturing sites, with representation from all divisions of their business.

We spoke to Joe Adams, Corporate EHS Director at Stanley Black & Decker, about the challenges which accompany ambitious environmental goals, how he engaged operations and senior leadership to overcome them, and how to get started on your own sustainability journey. Watch the full video here:
