Webinar: Waste & Packaging Actions: What can you do at your facility?
Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry advice and information is a crucial part of tackling your facility’s waste production and working out how best to keep this to a minimum. In 2018, 14.5 million tonnes of plastic containers and packaging were generated in the US alone, with 69% of this going to landfill.
Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry advice and information is a crucial part of tackling your facility’s waste production and working out how best to keep this to a minimum. In 2018, 14.5 million tonnes of plastic containers and packaging were generated in the US alone, with 69% of this going to landfill.
With such clear room for improvement across the globe, we added 8 new packaging-based actions to our platform. These actions come from guidance released by the Suppliers Partnership for the Environment (SP) on minimising waste and increasing packaging recyclability in automotive manufacturing.
To support the launch of these actions, we organised a webinar with Shane Litchey, Program Manager (Packaging) at Stellantis, Kellen Mahoney, Program Director at Suppliers Partnership for the Environment and Chris Ferrari, Head of Automotive at Manufacture 2030 to explore:
- New waste and packaging actions from Suppliers Partnership for the Environment and how they were introduced, including a deep dive into three new packaging actions.
- Stellantis’ waste and packaging initiatives and their successes, along with recommendations for other manufacturers.
- Next steps – how to use this guidance at your site.
