Business Development Executive - Europe (UK-based)

We're looking for an energetic, self-motivated Business Development Executive for Europe to join the team.

Manufacture 2030 is a purpose-led software company. Our mission is to bring major corporations and their supply chain partners together to turn their bold carbon commitments into reality, creating a more sustainable future by 2030. Our cloud-based SaaS platform helps supply chain owners and their suppliers to measure, manage and reduce carbon emissions and other environmental impacts.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Business Development Executive - Europe. This is an exciting role, suiting someone who is looking to build strong commercial experience, who’s interested in sustainability and software, and working in a growing B2B SaaS business that serves manufacturers around the globe.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify inbound opportunities and shut down loss-leaders.
  • Support the Sales team in presentations, pitches and negotiations.
  • Support the Sales team with progressing deals through the pipeline.
  • Implement effective Enterprise sales tactics to help close deals.
  • Work with the Marketing team to develop effective outbound emails and sequencing to drive new leads.
  • Support the Business Development Lead to analyse and assess current sales processes, identifying areas for improvement and streamlining operations.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to create and refine sales playbooks, scripts and objection handling strategies.
  • Maintenance of our sales pipeline within Salesforce.
  • Support the Sales team with running various operational and administrative tasks enabling opportunities to move through the pipeline.
  • Support the Sales team in the preparation of proposals and/or sales presentations.

Essential skills and experience

  • Demonstrable experience of qualifying leads, pitching M2030’s offer and hitting sales targets.
  • Previous experience in a sales or lead generation role ideally within a for-purpose organisation.
  • Understanding of sales processes, methodologies, and tools, including CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration internally and externally.
  • Proficiency and experience in using MS Office suite of applications.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, CRM systems (Salesforce) and social media (LinkedIn)

Desirable skills and experience

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Passionate belief in our mission to accelerate the transition to sustainable manufacturing.
  • A bachelor’s degree, ideally in business, sales or marketing.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and derive actionable insights.

Job summary

Location: Based in UK, hybrid – expectation to attend London office at least once per week.
Salary: £35,000 + Variable OTE
Tenure: Full time / permanent
Reporting to: Business Development Lead - Europe
