Carbon reduction is your next opportunity

Aisin, BorgWarner, Cummins, Denso, Ford, General Motors, American Honda Motor, Magna, Oshkosh, Toyota North America, and Toyota Boshoku America are partnering with Manufacture 2030 (M2030) to support suppliers with tools, expertise and funding opportunities to reduce environmental impact.

These automotive leaders have set ambitious carbon reduction targets to improve the environmental impact of their products. But they will not meet them without you and other suppliers taking action to reduce emissions.

At the same time, the nine companies understand suppliers are faced with increasing requirements and different impact measuring exercises from their buyers. There is little focus on encouraging actions that result in real carbon reduction and benefits for suppliers.

M2030 is here to change that.

Your customers have partnered with M2030 to create one way for you and other suppliers to reduce carbon emissions in their facilities, while cutting costs and increasing efficiency.

1. Sign up your organization
2. Invite colleagues (your colleagues will automatically be sent an email invitation to create a login and get started).
3. Create each of your relevant facilities.
4. Assign your colleagues and customer(s) to each facility
5. Save and activate your free license(s)

You will be asked to assign your customer(s) to each facility upon the creation of your account.

Should you need to add or remove any customer(s) in the future, then go to the “Measurements” page and add your relevant customers to each of the years you are submitting measurements for. Further help can be found here.

The deadline set by your customer(s) to sign up and add relevant facilities to Manufacture 2030 is April 18, 2025.

After this, you will have 6 weeks to submit your measurements and begin to build your Reduction Plan. The deadline for this is May 30, 2025.

It is critical for you to act in reducing emissions and M2030 will help you enable this requirement. The earlier you begin, the greater the cost-savings and positive impact.

• Site-level annual energy, waste and water consumption by source (eg. electricity, natural gas, etc.)
• Total production output – this data is confidential and used to normalise change across multiple years, it will not be visible to your customers.
• Percentage of total output sent to your customers - this data is confidential and used to estimate the suppliers’ upstream footprint relevant to your customer's total, it will not be visible to your customers.
• Overview of your sustainability projects on your site, with target dates and savings, using the Reduction Plan builder.

The M2030 platform operates at the facility level, offering detailed insights into scope 3 emissions. This granularity enables buyers to view baseline emissions and track progress throughout the supply chain, helping them understand and address local emissions hotspots effectively.

If a facility is already registered on the platform, there are no extra costs if you want to add additional customers and respond to their ask for decarbonization data and reduction plans.

Manufacture 2030 maintains administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect the security, confidentiality and integrity of customer data as required by law. These safeguards include encryption of data in transmission (using SSL or similar technologies). Manufacture 2030 is ISO 27001 certified with an Information Security Management System (ISMS) aligned to ISO 27001 in place and are compliant to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Manufacture 2030’s commitment to GDPR and CCPA principles are reflected throughout the Privacy Policy.

Commercial data is not shared with any other party, e.g., only suppliers apportioned environmental savings data is shared with its customers. Any financial savings made by implementing efficiency measures are not shared with any organization other than the supplier company itself.
