BorgWarner joins Manufacture 2030 to cut supply chain emissions

Manufacture 2030 has announced a new partnership with automotive manufacturer BorgWarner, to measure, manage, and reduce carbon emissions across its supply chain.

BorgWarner joins Manufacture 2030, affirming its commitment to reducing Scope 3 emissions by 25% by 2030, and building on its Charging Forward accelerated electrification strategy.

By harnessing Manufacture 2030's carbon reduction platform, BorgWarner will support direct material suppliers to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. Energy, waste, and water data will be used to inform best practice actions for suppliers to implement and reduce their environmental impact.

Speaking of the partnership, Volker Weng, Vice President of BorgWarner Inc. and President and General Manager, BorgWarner Drivetrain and Battery Systems, Environmental Sustainability Lead said:

BorgWarner is greatly looking forward to working together with M2030 and utilizing the decarbonization resources the company offers. Reducing our carbon footprint in our supply base is a vital step in creating a cleaner, more sustainable future for all. Offering this software to our suppliers enables them to manage, track and reduce their emissions, which in turn enables us to reduce our Scope 3 emissions footprint.
